Test wires to assure there is no power to existing water heater. Secure water to heater, drain, disconnect, remove and discard. Place pan on ground and install new 38 gallon electric low boy tank heater. Install thermal expansion tank, pipe T&P drain through brick foundation, and connect to existing new pex water lines. Install electrical disconnect locally as per IPC. Fill tank and Purge air from hot system. Inspect and test for leaks and proper functionality. Energize power and assure that it is heating properly.

I was very satisfied with the overall experience, with one exception. Scott was totally professional and personable during his visit. There was one thing that could have gone better but didn’t through no fault of his. He showed me a rotary cutting bit and offered to run it down the pipe to cut the root. The screw head on the device was so stripped out that he could not install the cutting bit. I really wanted him to do that, even if he had to come back. That might really help us. This is the one issue that keeps me from giving a 5 star review. It was not his fault that the equipment was somewhat defective. I would still like to have that device run down the pipe since I paid for the service. If Ethical Plumbing would return and do that for us, I’d change the review to 5 stars.
